So it seems like bird flu has finally reached the US as well. Living in the city where the first human casulties were recorded, I remember quite well the times when graphic scenes of bird culling flashed daily on the screen…
Declan Butler of Nature has built an interesting Google Earth map of H5N1, with data updated till May 2006. You can download his data and scoop down to the hot zones around the world. Great for research or just fooling around:)
