locator maps

One more nail on the coffin of cartographers who do traditional locator maps. Ever since Google map went online, I’ve been wondering about this. People went crazy customizing their interactive webmaps with Google API. Here is a decent tutorial if you’re interested.
For lazy bums like me, a hosted service is way more attractive. However, those have been rather pricy. Blipstar seems to be targeting a ready client base here. You can easily upload an excel file with different locations and have them plotted on Google map. I suppose you can also customize further to conform the look of your website.
